HarborCast is designed with your privacy as a priority. The app:

• Does NOT require account creation or login
• Does NOT collect your name, email, or contact information
• Does NOT transmit your personal data to any server
• Does NOT use analytics or tracking services
• Does NOT share any data with third parties

2. Location Data

HarborCast may request access to your device's location to provide weather and tide data for your area. This location data is used only on your device to fetch publicly available NOAA weather data. Your location is never transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties.

You can deny location access and manually enter your preferred locations instead.

3. Data Storage

All data you configure in HarborCast (saved locations, preferences, favorite stations) is stored locally on your device only using the app's local storage.

This means:

• Your data never leaves your device
• We cannot see or access your information
• If you delete the app, your saved data is permanently removed

4. Weather Data Sources

HarborCast retrieves publicly available weather, tide, and marine condition data from government sources including NOAA, the National Weather Service, and NDBC buoy stations. These requests are made directly from your device and do not pass through our servers.

5. Advertising (FREE Version Only)

The FREE version of HarborCast displays minimal, family-friendly advertising through Google AdMob to support development costs:

• Small banner ad displayed at the bottom of the screen
• Occasional interstitial ads shown between certain actions (not overwhelming)
• AdMob may collect: Device information, ad interaction data, and general location (city-level) for ad targeting
• You can opt out: Upgrade to PRO for a completely ad-free experience

6. In-App Purchases

HarborCast offers optional PRO features via in-app purchase. These purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store any payment information such as credit card numbers.

HarborCast does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks beyond Google AdMob (FREE version only).

8. Children's Privacy

HarborCast is a marine weather tool intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age.

9. Data Security

Because your data never leaves your device, it is as secure as your device itself. We recommend:

• Using device passcodes or biometric authentication
• Keeping your device software up to date

10. Your Rights

Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no data for us to access, modify, or delete. You have complete control over your information stored locally on your device.
